What is the difference between a Regular Cleaning and a Karma Cleaning?

A Regular Cleaning is a full-service cleaning that includes scaling, polishing, fluoride treatment and a complimentary laser whitening valued at $125. Depending on individual needs, this may also include X-Rays and a visit with the dentist. Most people with benefits are covered for all these services, except for the whitening which is our GIFT TO YOU, because we want you leaving feeling your best!

The Karma Cleaning eliminates the fear of unknown dental costs.  It is a fixed-cost cleaning that was created to give to give people access to absolute basic hygiene care. A Karma cleaning includes 2 Bitewing x-rays to assess overall bone levels and decay/cavity risks, 2 units of scaling (equivalent to about 20 – 30 minutes) and a dental hygiene exam with one of our hygienists.. The Karma cleaning does not include polish, fluoride treatment or a complimentary whitening.

All of our cleanings include extensive education to help you understand your mouth and how to reduce your risk of dental decay and gum disease. All of our hygienists have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and are capable of working quickly and efficiently to help make the most of your time in the chair.

Is the Karma Cleaning a Complete Cleaning??

This is different for every individual based on numerous factors. The Karma Cleaning includes 2 units of scaling (equivalent to about 20 – 30 minutes) For some people this may be enough but depending on how long it’s been since your last cleaning others may need more than 30 minutes of scaling to reverse years of build-up.

Does the Karma cleaning include complimentary whitening?

The Karma cleaning does not include a complimentary laser whitening as it is intended to be more of a fixed cost option to give people access to basic hygiene. You do, however, have the option of adding on a polish and fluoride which would make it a regular cleaning and then we could include the whitening.

How much is the Regular Hygiene Service?

Again, due to many individual variables, we can not provide a specific quote. Our average hygiene visits include:

3 Units of scaling at $253  – Some people may need more and some need less depending on how long it’s been since their last dental visit and other individual factors. Polish – which is the act of removing residual granular tarter and stain from the surfaces of the teeth. Polish is $74. And Fluoride Treatment -  the final step to remineralize the teeth and strengthen the enamel after the cleaning this is $37.

We include a complimentary laser whitening valued at $125 with all our full hygiene appointments.

What if I need to see a dentist?

Our clinic offers full dental services with our partners at Citizen Dental. This includes fillings, root canals, extractions, sedation, bridges, veneers and crowns.

How much for (________) dental service?

We are unable to provide patients with a price for specific services as there are many variables that can make it range for everyone. However, we value transparency and patients will only ever be provided with the care they need and agree to. A full exam and dental X-Rays are required for any dental treatment as there are many factors that need to be assessed so we cannot provide a quote unless you are in the clinic and the dentist is looking at your specific case.
